Panic attacks
Focus on positive thoughts instead

Intense fear is a daily experience if you suffer from panic attacks. These can be intrusive and disruptive to your personal relationships, your career and your health.

If you suffer from four or more of these symptoms at once, it is likely to be a panic attack:

- shortness of breath
- racing heart or chest pain
- choking feeling
- nausea or stomach discomfort
- smothering sensations
- intrusive thoughts
- feeling of losing control

- shaking
- sweating
- hot or cold flashes
- feeling of dread
- dizziness
- fear of insanity
- adrenalin rush

Panic attacks are often caused by an earlier event or series of events in life, when your subconscious mind 'learnt' to be afraid of a particular experience. So now whenever you are faced with that experience or related thoughts or feelings, your subconscious mind triggers a panic attack.

Your subconscious mind is aiming to protect you from unpleasant experiences, but the resulting panic attack can be even more disruptive and unpleasant for you.

Hypnotherapy will explore the triggers of your panic attacks and your related experiences in the past, so that we can resolve those events and 'unlearn' those triggers. Your subconscious mind can then realise that there is nothing to fear.
